PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A new local charity called Common Gents is trying to change what it looks like to be cool.
It is celebrating discipline, hard work, kindness, serving our community and instilling it all in young men in our community.
The group is holding a mother-son dance Saturday night at Eastpointe Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens.
Common Gents founder Phillip Smith said the organization is geared to helping boys transition into men.
“Have that advanced copy of what adulthood is going to look like so that they don’t have to learn the hard way. Some guys pride themselves on going through the school of hard knocks. Our job is to make sure they don’t have to get there,” said Smith.
